Dear Sponsors, Donors and Volunteers,
The Billy Galindo Inspirational Scholarship is an annual scholarship helping to offset an Illinois Valley Central (IVC) High School Senior’s college or vocational education expenses. The candidates should show that they have overcome adversity and demonstrated the following characteristics and qualities that Billy possessed: a regular participant in extra-curricular activities, a strong commitment to community service and volunteerism, a positive attitude toward all with whom he/she associates, an effective leader, and the ability to foster cohesiveness among the students of IVC.
This year there two Billy Galindo Inspirational Scholarships that were awarded. The first 2026 scholarship, in the amount of $1,000, was awarded to Robert Clausing, and the second 2026 scholarship, in the amount of $5,000, was awarded to Sam Griggs at the IVC High School Senior Honors Night ceremony on May13th. Congratulations to these well-deserving recipients!
